Our Biggest Need: Donations
Did you know our biggest cost is veterinary care?
Each dog receives vaccinations which costs approximately $15.00 for each animal. We also prepare for the unknown with a $25.00 microchip for each animal. A dog with heart worm costs us approximately $600.00 to treat and $30.00 per month for additional medications. An animal in foster care needs food and supplies (about $30.00 per month).
On average, it costs $100.00 to spay or neuter an animal. And, sadly, some dogs need dental care which can be $250.00 – $350.00.
There are health certificates for dogs to be transported into our care which cost $25/animal. Not to mention the costs of owning/maintaining a transport vehicle and employing a driver.
